Happy Mawlid al Nabi ( Peace be Upon Him)

It is Mawlid al Nabi, today and as Muslims we are very happy and thankful to Allah that he has blessed us with the Messenger, the leader of the Prophets Muhammad Peace be Upon Him. It is a great opportunity to learn his biography and to get our families involved in activities so we can learn even more about him, Peace be Upon Him. They are some Muslims who do not celebrate the Milad, and this is a difference of opinion, this is not something to be divided as all Muslims agree that the Prophet Peace be Upon him did celebrate his birthday by fasting, as stated in the following Hadith : Muslim (1162) narrated from Abu Qataadah al-Ansaari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays and he said: “On (that day) I was born and on it Revelation came down to me.”  Those who are celebrating the Mawlid will continue to do so and are free to do so, and those who are mot they are free to do so. So let us remember to respect and honour one another and remember that a difference of a opinion has existed in the Ummah and remain united as Allah says : And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allâh makes His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided. The Noble Qur'an 3:103, 105 The following is a lecture on the Mawlid, looking and remembering the blessed day Muhammad Peace be Upon him, the Mercy of Allah was sent to the whole of creation. http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=KWgaMt_2Co0
